Meet Shivaani
Shivaani was born and raised in Redondo Beach, California. She graduated from UC Berkeley in 2017 with a B.S. in chemistry, where she worked with Prof. Evan Miller designing and synthesizing novel fluorescent voltage sensors. After undergrad, she worked at UCSF under Dr. Stanley Prusiner as part of a drug discovery campaign to find small-molecule therapeutics for neurodegenerative diseases. Outside of lab, Shivaani enjoys live music, baking, film photography, and trying new restaurants.
